Sweet pepper is another lucrative business you can venture into. And I remember the very first time I had an interaction with sweet pepper. Can you believe I used sweet pepper, together with tomatoes, and blended them together? I thought it was going to have that bitter taste, but I never knew it was something entirely different. After I made my sauce, it was just tasting sweet - that wasn't how to cook with sweet pepper! But sweet peppers are very important in our meals, and you know some foods, like fried rice and things like that, require them.

So, if you want to learn how to farm sweet pepper, the first thing you need to know is that this agricultural produce takes up to 90-100 days to harvest from the planting stage. For the first 4-6 weeks, it goes through a nursery; then, from the sixth week upward, you can transplant it to the farm where you want it to eventually grow. And it won't take up to 50-60 days before you start harvesting.

In the market, how much do you think a sweet pepper costs in the Nigerian market today? I think the last time I priced it, it was about N15 for just one. Some people sell it for N100, but it's very rare to see it at N15 - even if you do, maybe it's just a small size. A sweet pepper plant can produce many seed peppers for you to harvest - it can be more than 10 or 15, depending.
